Contemporary art through the eyes of children
With the Artistic red dot Gallery
The Artistic red dot Gallery, Culture pour l'Enfance new partner, is organizing the contemporary art festival "OPUS 1" in Parcé-sur-Sarthe (72) from 17 April to 14 July 2025, with, at the same time, an exhibition room unlike any other: the ‘Children's Wall’. This space will raise awareness of contemporary art among young people, while supporting the work of our endowment fund.
An unprecedented initiative encouraging artistic awakening
Founded in February 2020 by collector, gallerist and entrepreneur Eric Dos Santos, Galerie Artistic red dot's mission is to bring artists and collectors together. This project has gradually been extended to include young people, with the launch this year of the ‘Children's Wall’, designed by artist Marie Morel.
From 15 to 25 May, children aged 5 to 14 will be able to enjoy this special exhibition space, open between 10am and 6pm from Thursday to Sunday. Without their parents present, they'll have the chance to discover contemporary art on their own, through the discovery of a hundred new artworks by 17 artists presented by the Galerie, which have been specially created for the occasion. The artists on show include Dominique Bellanger, Juliette Trébuchet, Didier Hamey and Jeanne Rebillaud. Accompanied by a mediator, these young art lovers will enjoy a unique immersive journey, which may just inspire them to take up a new career.

While you're enjoying the OPUS 1 exhibition free of charge, which opens on 20 April, your children can also learn about the world of contemporary art in their own way.

Who said children could not buy works of art?
With this ‘Children's Wall’, Artistic red dot reverses the roles, giving children the chance to buy a work by a contemporary artist with their own pocket money. It's an opportunity for these young visitors to learn about the art of collecting and to awaken their artistic side, for a symbolic price.
This purchase then becomes a donation to Culture pour l'Enfance, to support our artistic and cultural education projects for other children who don't have the chance or the opportunity to visit a museum or art gallery.
And that's the heart of our partnership with Artistic red dot. As well as giving us the full amount of the donations, the Gallery doubles the profits, enabling us to continue and step up our efforts to promote access to art and culture for all children.
