The villa Ephrussi de Rothschild celebrates music!
On the occasion of the Fête de la musique, the orchestra classes from La Gaude schools gave a concert in the gardens of the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, as part of their participation in the programme " The Gardens' Secrets ", set up by the Fondation Culturespaces.
Under the eyes and ears of the pupils of the Mon école primary school in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat and their parents, the 52 pupils of 4th and 5th grades gave a great musical performance, carried by wind, percussion and string instruments.
These orchestra classes are organised by the association " Orchestra at School ", which has been working on the development of orchestras in schools since 2008, completing and enriching the artistic and cultural education (EAC) of pupils. This EAC program through instrumental practice, fun and rigorous, contributes to the learning of self-control and also to the training of memory and attention.
Orchestra at School and the Fondation Culturespaces have joined forces to organise the restitution of this rich and interdisciplinary project in the gardens of the Villa Ephrussi, combining music and the discovery of their cultural heritage with a visit to the Gardens and the Villa.
Result: a magical and unforgettable moment for the students, their teachers and their parents!
